A one day Basic Training on Library Management was held on the 13th May 2022 at Dimapur Government College. The event was conducted under the Staff Development Programme initiative. The programme was jointly organized by the IQAC and Library Advisory Committee of the institute.
A total of 17 participants from various colleges and higher secondary schools from Dimapur participated in the programme. The principal of Dimapur Govt. College, Dr M.Libanthung Ngullie welcomed all and shared words of encouragement with the participants.
Three sessions were conducted in all. The first session at 10 a.m was taken by Neiketu Siam, Sr. librarian, Dimapur Govt. College on accessioning and classification. The second session at 11.40 a.m was conducted by Pintu Chakravarty, Librarian, Pranabananda Womens College where he gave an introduction to library automation. The third and final session at 1.30 p.m was taken by Er. Pikato Wotsa, IT Officer, Oriental Theological Seminary. He gave an overview of Library Technology.
The sessions were chaired by Neiketu Siam and the concluding remarks were given by the Principal, Dimapur Govt. College. He also gave away the certificates to the participants.
