Event Report: 59th Freshers’ Meet Cum Felicitation Programme

Dimapur Government College organized the 59th Freshers’ Meet Cum Felicitation Programme on 21st August 2026 at the College Auditorium under the theme “Renaissance of Dreams.”

The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Marnungtet Ozukum, General Secretary, DGCSC, followed by a speech on behalf of the freshers and a prayer of blessings. The event also featured a duet performance and the felicitation of University Toppers from the college.A major highlight was the launch of the DGC App, followed by the release of the DGC Annual Magazine. The Principal, Dr. T. Tiakaba Jamir, addressed the gathering and encouraged the freshers to pursue academic excellence and actively participate in college life.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Renthungo Ovung, Assistant General Secretary, DGCSC, followed by refreshments. The event marked a meaningful beginning for the new students and celebrated the achievements of the college community.

The program was followed by an informal session where various performance were conducted.The session included the selection of the following titles:
