REPORT ON 79TH UN DAY ON 24/10/24:
Political Science Students Club in collaboration with Department of Political Science organized Poster Competition under the theme “The importance of Camelids for Food Security, Ecosystem protection and Biodiversity Conservation” commemorating 79th UN Day on 24/10/24 at 12 noon in the Seminar Hall, it was attended by 24 students including the club executive and 5 teachers.
The Vice President of the Club Miss Nivilo Y. Zhimomi, 3rd semester, chaired the program, welcome addressed was delivered by the President, Mr. Khyolamo Patton, 5th semester. Short speech on the theme was delivered by HoD Ms. Sedevino, Assoc. Professor.
Ms. Purtila, Assoc. Prof. announced the results and gave away the Cash award and Certificates to the students in the following events:
- Essay Writing on the topic “Cultivating the Culture of Peace” 1st Position – Miss Aboli Odyuo of 5th semester and 2nd Position – Miss Keheirianeule of 5th semester.
- The Poster Competition was on the theme “The importance of Camelids for Food Security, Ecosystem protection and Biodiversity Conservation” 1st Position – Miss Alijungla Longchar of 5rd semester and the 2nd position – Mr. Mughakivi Chophy of 3rd Semester.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Miss Redala Khuvala of 5th semester Advisor of the club followed by light refreshment. Judges of the Essay Competition were Ms.Sedevino, Ms. Purtila and Dr. Amongla N Jamir. Judges for Poster Competition were Ms. Bokali Kibami, Ms. Temjenmongla & Dr. Amongla N Jamir.
