Some of the activities undertaken during the year
- No. of Hostellers: There are 74 hostellers admitted in to DGC Girls Hostel comprising of both Arts and Commerce in all three batches.
- Committee Meetings: Altogether, the GHMC held six (6) meetings including one (1) joint meeting with Principal.
- Ceiling for dining hall, kitchen and store room: Ceiling for dining hall, kitchen and store room as constructed.
- Repairing and maintenance: Repairing of water pipe lines, commode, commode pipes, toilet doors, ventilations, drainage, hand wash basin and electrification were done.
- Tools and equipments: More tools and equipments were purchased for cleaning the compound.
- Herbal garden: As entrusted from the office of the Principal, the Herbal garden of the College is taking care by the Girls hostel.
- Pre-Christmas: Pre-Christmas programme was held on 10th December, 2022
- Farewell for outgoing students: Girls hostellers conducted a farewell programme for outgoing students on 2nd April, 2023.
- Social works: The hostellers conducted social work several times within and around the hostel.
- Badminton court: A badminton court (temporary) was constructed for hostellers for recreational and physical exercise of the hostellers. Rackets and shuttle cocks were provided to the hostellers.
- Evening prayer fellowship: Girls hostel conducts regular daily prayer fellowship in the hostel besides Sunday worship services.
- Seminars: Girls hostellers participated in seminars conducted on the topics “Upcycle creation: Transforming waste to wealth” held on 22nd April, 2022, “Dengue Awareness” held on 9th December, 2022 and “Oral Health & Dental Health Awareness” held on 10th May, 2023.
- World Environment Day: In commemoration of World Environment Day, the hostellers conducted cleanliness drive within and around hostel compound.
