World Food Day 16.10.2023

Theme: “Water is life, water is food. Leave no one behind”

World food day is an international day celebrated every year around the world on 16th October, 2023 in honor of the date of founding of the food and agricultural organization of UN in 1945.DGC (Economics department) along with NEN (North East Network celebrated the event in the Seminar Hall, DGC Campus at 1:00 pm.The focus of the programme is the signing of MoU with NEN as Knowledge partners. Indigenous Food Recipe Competition was held with the BA 5th Semester students (Eco honours).The students were divided into 9 groups (4to 6 students in each group),and each group came with a locally prepared dish using only local resources. They make PPT presentation of their food/ recipe/health benefits etc, and it was judge by three penal of judges:

1. Ms. Kezhaleu Hesso, VP ,DGC.

2. Ms. Vilazonuo :Project Lead NEN

3.Dr Vinyuhu Lhoungu: IQAC coordinator.

Their food was judged on four criteria, i.e. presentation, flavor, ingredient used, stories or health benefits. The result of the competition:
