Sl.no	Annual Plan	Action taken
1	To encourage the faculty to attend any faculty development programme or course.	Three faculty members attended the ‘One-Day Faculty Development Programme’ on “Implementation of CBCS Syllabus of BA (Hons. & Gen.) in Education” organised by the Department of Education, NU Kohima Campus, Meriema, on June 17, 2022.
2	To continue with the Education Topper Award of DGC in theUniversity exams consisting ofRs. 5,000 and a citation.	The Subject Topper Award for 2022 was awarded to Ms.AienlaJamir, on 25/07/2022.
3	To continue participation and organise an Inter-Departmental seminar.	The Department of Education, in collaboration with the Research Committee, organised an Inter-Departmental Seminar on September 3, 2022. Dr. Hare KrushnaParhi, Asst. Prof., and Dr.Benjongkumba, Assoc. Prof., jointly presented a papertitled “A Study of Intelligence in Relation to Academic Achievements of Undergraduate Students in Dimapur Govt. College: A Case Study”.
4	To undertake an extension service activity with the 6^th Semester major students.	The Education Department visited Govt. Primary School, Senjum village, Dimapur with 50 students of the BA 6^th Semester Education major and 6 faculty members on March 8, 2023. Students were exposed to “practise teaching” by engaging in different classes.The visiting team also distributed notebooks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and sweets to all schoolchildren.
5	To form an ‘Education Club’ with a view to motivate and create a platform to the Education major students to nurture their creativity.	The ‘Education Club’ was formally launched by the Education Department on March 13, 2023 during a joint meeting with the Education Honours students of all the semesters. Office bearers for the tenure 2023-24were selected from among the students, with Ms.Limanaro, Asso. Prof., as the teacher-in-charge.
6	To continue with the contribution towards Student Welfare Fund.	The amount for sponsoring two students scholarships was handed over to the convenor of Student Welfare Fund.
7	To conduct an interactive session with the final semester honours students.	The Education Department organized an interactive session with its Final Semester students on May 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM in Room No. 1, where some of the students shared their experiences and aspirations. Ms.Diethoseu Mepfhuo, HoD, exhorted the students, while Dr. Hare Krushna Parhi, Assistant Professor, shared about the prospects after graduation.
