Report on the Conduct of NTA NEET (UG) Re-Examination 2026

Date of Examination: 21st June 2026

The NEET (UG) Re-Examination was conducted at Dimapur Government College on 21st June 2026 as per the guidelines and instructions issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA). All arrangements relating to examination administration, security, monitoring, and candidate management were carried out strictly in accordance with prescribed NTA norms and protocols.

The examination was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Yelhi Vero, Asst. Professor, Department of Economics, DGC, as the Centre Superintendent with Dr. Temjennaro Jamir, Asst. Professor, Department of Mathematics, DGC and Ms. Taba Yasi, Asst. Professor, Department of Hindi, DGC, serving as Deputy Centre Superintendents. The examination process was supported by a total of 58 invigilators and 9 supporting staff members who performed their assigned responsibilities efficiently and ensured the smooth conduct of the examination.

A total of 677 candidates were allotted to the examination centre, including 5 PwD candidates. Out of the total allotted candidates, 585 candidates appeared for the examination while 92 candidates remained absent. Additionally, one candidate reported to the centre despite being allotted to another examination centre and was dealt with according to prescribed procedures.

The examination schedule, reporting time, and all examination procedures were followed strictly as per NTA guidelines and instructions.

For the conduct of the examination, a total of 17 examination halls consisting of 29 zones were utilized. Room No. 9 was designated as the Strong Room, while the Vice Principal’s Room functioned as the Control Room for examination-related monitoring and coordination.

Comprehensive security and surveillance arrangements were established throughout the examination centre. A total of 38 CCTV cameras were installed as per prescribed instructions. The installation and deployment of CCTV cameras were carried out in accordance with examination guidelines, ensuring that the number of CCTV cameras within examination rooms corresponded appropriately with the number of zones in the respective rooms, along with additional monitoring arrangements for effective surveillance of the centre. Furthermore, 12 signal jammers were installed to prevent unauthorized communication within the examination premises.

Security and verification arrangements were strengthened to ensure smooth conduct and strict enforcement of examination protocols. The security setup included the deployment of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel along with police personnel for maintaining law and order and ensuring proper security enforcement throughout the examination process. In addition, a total of 10 frisking personnel, 10 biometric personnel, and one videographer were deployed for candidate verification, monitoring, and documentation purposes.

Further, a medical team consisting of two personnel was deployed and stationed in the medical room to address any medical emergencies and provide necessary assistance to candidates during the examination.

The centre was monitored by two NTA Observers, namely Ms. Sandeep Kaur, PGT Chemistry and Mr. Ravi Datt Pal TGT (Work Exp). In addition, Mr. Lichumthung Kikon, Asst. Professor, Department of Commerce, DGC, served as the Observer from the Ministry of Education.

All examination-related activities, including candidate verification, security checks, biometric procedures, attendance formalities, distribution and collection of examination materials, and centre monitoring activities, were carried out efficiently and systematically.

The NEET (UG) Re-Examination at Dimapur Government College was conducted and executed successfully and concluded smoothly without any untoward incident. The examination process was completed effectively through the coordinated efforts of the Centre Superintendent, Deputy Centre Superintendents, invigilators, staff members, security personnel, observers, medical personnel, and all supporting agencies involved.
