Report on Participation in Psych Fest – “MINDWAVE” by the Dept. of Psychology
Students from the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Semesters of the Department of Psychology, Dimapur Government College (DGC), actively participated in “Mindwave,” a Psych Fest organised by the Department of Psychology and Counselling, St. Joseph University, Chümoukedima, Nagaland on 23rd September, 2026.
The Psych Fest provided an exciting and enriching platform for students to showcase their talents, interact with students from other colleges and universities, and gain meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. The event also encouraged students to develop confidence, creativity, communication skills, teamwork, and healthy interpersonal interaction.
Students from the Department of Psychology, DGC, participated in various activities, including the Singing Competition and Mobile Legends competition. Their participation reflected enthusiasm, creativity, team spirit, and a willingness to engage in co-curricular and competitive activities.
A notable achievement was secured by Miss Longsula of the 5th Semester Psychology Major students of DGC, who won the Singing Competition. The achievement brought recognition to the Department and college and demonstrated the diverse talents of the students.
Overall, participation in Mindwave was a valuable and enriching experience for the students. It provided them with opportunities to interact with peers from other institutions, develop their talents, build confidence, and apply interpersonal and teamwork skills in an informal learning environment. Such activities contribute to the holistic development of students and complement their academic learning by providing meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
