Report on Face Work Worshop Held at DGC
Face Work, a UK based 21st Century Skill Program focusing on Employability of Youths conducted a 3 day intensive Face work training course in soft-skill development for the workplace from September 4-6 at Dimapur Govt. College.
The workshop took a radical approach to equipping college students with the skills they need for the challenging world of work. Through Real-world learning, peer support backed by reflection, analysis and then sharing, and through amplifying their authentic positive advice, stories and ideas towards making a successful transition into the next phase of life where one is to seek a job, the ones that machines cannot do.
Altogether 30 students from the 5th Semester were selected to attend the workshop, and which was held for the first time in Nagaland. The workshop was conducted by Face Work Founder Steven Carrick-Davies and Karenmoa Longkumer, the Country lead of Face Work India Chapter.
At the end of the three days workshop the students were inspired and enriched by the new level of experience, and the fact that the students also contributed to helping the Face Work team develop new employability training content for the Face Work India Programme made the workshop more engaging. The students were also give free Face Work Tee-Shirts along with certificates.
The Committee expresses utmost appreciation to the College Principal for enabling the conduct of the Face Work workshop.
