The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Dimapur Govt. College conducted a social work cum solid waste management programme in the College campus on 3rd April 2021 under the theme ” Be the Solution – Not the Pollution”.

The activity was carried out for continued maintenance of a clean environment for a healthy life. Altogether around 50 student-volunteers along with 3 Programme Officers, Mezhulhoulie Angami & Meren Jamir, Assistant Professors in Commerce & Neisenuo Apon Rengma, Assistant Professor in History, participated in the said activity from 6:00 A.M onwards.
Segregation of solid-waste collected into biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste and proper disposal of the same were also carried out.

The programme concluded with the sharing of words of appreciation and motivation by the PO’s followed by a light refreshment.
