                  2nd September 2023The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the college, organized a social work within the college campus to promote cleanliness, sustainability and community engagement. Students and faculty members came together to conduct campus beautification activities, including waste management drives and awareness campaigns. This initiative not only enhanced the campus environment but also instilled a sense of responsibility and teamwork among the students. It served as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a clean and green campus while fostering a spirit of social consciousness.
   
              5thSeptember 2023On the occasion of National Teacher’s Day, the students from the Department of Commerce organized a special program to honor and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the faculty members. The event was a heartfelt tribute, showcasing the students’ appreciation for the guidance, support, and knowledge imparted by the teachers. Through creative performances, speeches, and personalized gifts, the students expressed their gratitude and admiration, making the day memorable for both the faculty and the students alike.  
 
                16th June 2023A one-day state-level workshop was organized by the Department of Commerce in collaboration with the IQAC of Dimapur Government College. The theme of the workshop was National Higher Education Qualification Framework under NEP-2020 and the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme under Nagaland University.” The workshop featured Dr.GautamPatikar, Dr. P.K. Deka, and Dr.RatanKaurinta as the esteemed resource persons from the Nagaland University.  
 
        2nd December 2023In collaboration with the IQAC and the Department of Commerce, Dimapur Government College, the NSE, SEBI and NSDL organized an awareness program on the themeInvestor Awareness: Introduction to the Securities Market.” The event was held at the college seminar hall and aimed to educate students and the community about the fundamentals of the securities market. Through insightful discussions and expert presentations, the program highlighted the importance of financial literacy and informed investing.
   
        17th Feb. 2024The monthly Inter-Departmental seminar organized by Reseasrch & Development Cell, sponsored by IQAC and conducted by Department of Commerce was held on 17th of February, 2024. Mr. T. Zanthungo Ngullie, Asst. Prof, Department of commerce, presented a paper on the topic Food Grains Production in Nagaland: An Evaluative study. The program was chaired by Mr. Lekokonen Longkumer, Asst. Prof. and closing remark was delivered by Mr. George T. Kire, HoD, Dept. of Commerce.
 
          15th March 2024The Commerce Club successfully hosted its 2nd edition of “COMMFETE”, centred on the theme “Profit Paradigm.” The event featured a dynamic line-up of activities, including debates, Ad-Mad, start-up plans, quizzes, and “Commerce Got Talent,” showcasing the creativity and skills of students. With enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty, the program proved to be a resounding success. The 6th semester students emerged as the overall champions, adding to the excitement and spirit of the event.
 
              29thApril 2024A heartfelt thanksgiving program was organized by the outgoing students to express their gratitude to the faculty of the Commerce Department. The event served as a special occasion to acknowledge the guidance, support, and dedication of the faculty members throughout their academic journey. Through speeches, performances and tokens of appreciation, the students conveyed their sincere thanks, making it a memorable and emotional occasion for both the students and the faculty.
