A short programme was held today at the Seminar Room of Dimapur Govt. College to release the Vol II, Issue 1 of DGC Journal. The programme was chaired by Dr. Yelhi Vero, Convenor of Research Committee. He highlighted the importance of the journal as an integral part of intellectual exercise and fruition of the efforts of the  college and thanked all those who have contributed towards the actualization of the journal. The chair emphasized on the challenges and the professional work ethics that goes into the making of the journal and called upon the college fraternity for their continued support.

Following which, the Principal of the College Dr. Moanochet Longchar officially released the journal. In his short speech he congratulated the paper contributors and the editorial board for bringing out the journal successfully. He had few words of encouragement drawing perspectives from the realization worldwide about the importance of research, and that the focus should be on channeling research coupled with multidisciplinary studies. He also exhorted the committee to continue to work towards setting a ‘benchmark’ while moving up from one notch to another, and which is required not only for research quality but also for its sustenance.

The short programme was attended by the Principal, Vice-Principal and representative members of IQAC, Research Committee and Media cell.
