 Eco Department Extension Service 2025

On 8th  April 2025, as part of the extension activity of the department,  five teachers along with  ten students (Class Representatives) from the Economics Club, department of Economics, visited the United Block A, Burma Camp, Dimapur, to assist the victims of a fire that occurred on 5th  April, 2025. Our aim was to provide support and demonstrate solidarity with the affected families.

During our visit, we distributed essential items to help the victims, including:

  • Kitchen utensils
  • Bedding items
  • Food items
  • Monetary assistance

Our efforts were focused on alleviating their immediate hardships and showing our concern for the community’s plight.

This initiative aimed to provide tangible support while raising awareness about the importance of helping those in crisis. The experience highlighted the strength of community resilience and the impact of collective compassion.

Our visit was a valuable experience that reinforced our commitment to community support. We recommend to continue establishing assistance programs to help those affected by adverse calamities in the future if so happened.
