Report on Salutation Program (6th June 2025)



The Salutation Program for the Graduating Students of Dimapur Government College was held on 6th june 2025 at 12:00 PM in the College Auditorium, graced by the presence of our respected Principal, Faculty Members and Guest Speaker – Mr. R. Lungleng, a well-known media personality and presenter of The Lungleng Show. The event was organized to honor our respected Seniors, celebrating their achievements and journey at the institution.
The program was chaired by Mr. Bachiu Lami ((B.A 5th Semester Economics Dept.) and Ms. Phangmei Konyak (B.A 5th Semester English Dept.), who gracefully coordinated the proceedings.
- The event commenced with a solemn invocation by Mr. Sepili Sangtam (B.A 5th Semester Pol. Science Dept.), President of EUDGC, setting a reverent tone for the occasion.
- Mr. Runo Semp (B.Com 5th Semester Commerce Dept.), General Secretary of DGCSC, warmly welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the event.
- Acapella Performance by students from the Department of History( 2nd Semester), adding a musical touch to the program.
- A motivational speech was delivered by Dr. T. Tiakaba Jamir, Principal of DGC, Who encouraged the graduating students to pursue their dreams with determination and integrity.
- Speech on Behalf of Outgoing Students, Representatives from both streams expressed their gratitude and shared memories. Arts Stream – Ms. Nianchiai L. (B.A 6th Semester Education Dept.), Commerce Stream-Ms. Jime Shiu (B.Com 6th Semester).
- A special musical number was performed by Ms. Benjongsula Jamir (B.A 3rd Semester, Education Dept.), captivating the audience with her talent.
- The Guest Speaker, Mr. R. Lungleng, delivered an inspiring talk focusing on perseverance and self- belief while at the same time, encouraged and reminded the gathering to inculcate the constitutional values and rights enshrined in the Constitution of India.
- A heartfelt prayer was offered by Ms. Sedevino, HoD, Department of Political Science, for the outgoing students invoking blessings for their future.
- Ms. Linyu T. Nekong (B.A 5th Semester History Dept.), Vice President of DGCSC, extended her gratitude to all the participants, organizers, and attendees who made the program a success.
- The event concluded with a benediction pronounced by Ms. Nyumoi Konyak (B.A 3rd Semester Psychology Dept.), Assistant Secretary of EUDGC.
The program was followed by a lunch and DJ Night by DJ. Lil BOMB Guest Artist, marking the end of a memorable and emotional farewell to the graduating batch of 2025.
