The Performing & Fine Arts Club of Dimapur Govt. College organised an interactive workshop on ” An Introduction to Theatre and Empowerment” on the 20th of March 2021 in the college premises. The resource person was Bendang Walling, of the Hill Theatre Group who is also an alumnus of the college. The award-winning actor/director who graduated from the National School of Drama is currently involved in making short films, producing dramas for the theatre and in conducting workshops.
Engaging a rapt audience of about 139 participants comprising mostly of students and a few faculty members, the workshop was centred around the theme of how theatre can bring about empowerment.
