Report on the Observation of NSS Foundation Day
Date: September 25, 2026
Venue: College Auditorium, Dimapur Government College, Dimapur
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Dimapur Government College successfully organized a cleanliness drive within the college campus on September 25, 2026, as a post-activity initiative to mark the NSS Foundation Day.
Observed annually on September 24th to commemorate the establishment of the NSS in 1969, the Foundation Day honors the organization’s enduring mission: developing student personality and character through voluntary community service to foster responsible citizenship. The 2026 observance focused on core themes of youth empowerment, civic duty, service, sacrifice, society, and self-reliance.
Carried out under the inspiring theme “Small actions create big change,” the cleanliness drive specifically targeted the college auditorium. A dedicated team of 23 volunteers, team leaders, and Program Officers actively participated, setting a powerful example of community responsibility, hygiene, and leadership for the student body.
