Dimapur Government College celebrated India’s 72nd Independence Day on the 15th of August, 2018. A programme was conducted in the college premises at 6.30 am. Mr. M. Angami, Assistant Professor,  HoD, Dept of Commerce was the chairperson. Mrs Bendangmongla Ao, Vice-principal, DGC, unfurled the flag as the NCC cadets led the gathering comprising of teaching and non-teaching staff of DGC in the national anthem.

A short speech by NCC Cadet SUO L. Pukho Khiamniungan highlighted details of how India won her independence and her current position among the nations of the world.

The programme concluded with light refreshment.
