A NAAC Peer Team comprising of three eminent academicians led by Dr Padmanaban Thiyagarajan, Former Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University as Chairperson, Dr G Ram Reddy, Professor, Department of Political Science, Osmania University Hyderabad as Member Coordinator and Dr Suhasini Arya, Principal, Smt. K G Mittal College of Arts & Commerce, Maharashtra visited Dimapur Government College from 29th – 30th September 2021 for the second cycle of NAAC assessment.
Some of the activities carried out during the two-day visit were – presentations by the Head of the Institution, IQAC, Departments and Committees, inspection of College facilities and sites, interaction with Principal, IQAC, HoDs, teachers, non teaching Staff, DGC Students Council, Alumni Association, and parents.
There was also a meeting with the Director of Higher Education Nagaland, Additional Director and DGC Board of Advisory.
A cultural programme was organised on the 29th evening in honour of their visit.
The visit concluded with an exit meeting chaired by Dr Maongkala Longchar, The Principal of the College, Dr. Libanthung Ngullie made the opening remarks and Member Secretary, IQAC, Dimapur Govt College where Dr Padmanaban Thiyagarajan, Chairperson of the Peer Team shared some key observations and made suggestions for improvement. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vitsosie Vupru, IQAC Coordinator DGC.
