On this occasion at Raj Bhavan, Kohima, on 2nd October 2018, five student-participants including the winner of Dimapur District Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition, along with a teacher from Dimapur Govt. College, attended a seminar on “The Thoughts and Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi” and a felicitation programme. The students and the teacher in charge were –

The programme was chaired by Prof. Pardeshi Lal, Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University and the Guest of Honour was Shri Temjen Imna Along, Hon’ble Minister, Higher and Technical Education, Nagaland.
More than 200 students and around 50 teachers from different colleges of Nagaland attended the seminar and five reputed personalities from different States spoke on the thoughts and philosophy of Gandhiji. They stressed on the relevance of Gandhi in today’s world. They also appreciated the Govt. of India’s policies which work along Gandhiji’s goal for India. The seminar was followed by a panel discussion.
The Hon’ble Governor in his speech observed that Gandhiji’s thought and philosophy must be practicsed in daily life.
The felicitation programme for the district-level quiz competition and the participants of the seminar ended with the valedictory address of the Chief Guest Shri P.B.Acharya, Hon’ble, Governor of Nagaland. This was followed by lunch at Banquet Hall of Governor’s House.
