STRENGHTS:

Professional and dedicated Faculty.
Internally raised funds to help students facing dire circumstances.
Cordial relations among Students and Teachers.
Active participants in co- curricular and extra-curricular activities, willing to go the extra mile.
Yeoman services in various capacities to the students and the community at large.

WEAKNESSES:

Need more exposure through National & International Seminars/ Workshops etc.
Need to augment the Books and Materials currently available in Departmental Library
Need to build up resource base to encourage research work among both faculty and students.

OPPORTUNITIES:

Maximum number of students opt for the subject making interactions and exchange of ideas possible and interesting.
With the introduction of NEP -2020, new horizons and opportunities are available in terms of multi-Disciplinary subjects , Skill Enhancement subjects and SWAYAM enabling Teaching – Learning with students from various background and different streams.
Teachers are appointed as examiners, paper setters in University examinations.
Department organises Seminars, Quiz Competitions and Education tours for the benefit of the Teachers and Students.

CHALLENGES:

Keeping pace with rapid changes in Higher education.
With the NEP department needs to encourage the Faculty in enrolling for SWAYAM Courses and efficiently facilitate the students towards the numerous Swayam Courses that are being offered.
Without compromising on the quality of education, the need to cope with the large number of students opting for the subject
To ensure that slow learners are not neglected or left behind.
