Dimapur Government College, established on 25th July 1966 as Dimapur College by few concerned citizens is completing its five long decades of imparting Higher Education. A humble beginning with an enrollment of 83 (Arts) students and 7 faculty members, the College is today proud to have 874 students, 50 faculty members and 55 non-teachings staff members.

Community College

Community college was launched in Dimapur Government College on 20th August 2014. Deputy commissioner Dimapur Smt. Hushili Sema, IAS inaugurated the one year programme. It is a UGC initiative to facilitate vocational courses along with conventional programmes in the college. Classes are held five days a week between 12.30 – 4.00 p.m.
